Milk the movie opens today, and also marks the 30th anniversary of the assassination of original BoredGayBoy Harvey Milk and Mayor George Moscone, which occurred during a particularly bleak period in San Francisco history, just a week after 900 Bay Area residents died at Jonestown. Above is the original, somber news footage from NBC Nightly News with David Brinkley, November 27, 1978.
